Key Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor the availability and performance of systems using specialized tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana. (Full training provided on these tools)
- Promptly respond to alerts and incidents by strictly following predefined procedures and runbooks.
- Conduct initial assessments to accurately determine the severity of issues and define immediate next steps.
- Clearly and effectively escalate issues to the appropriate expert teams, maintaining continuous communication.
- Maintain meticulous records of incidents and follow up rigorously within our ticketing system (e.g., Jira Service Management).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders throughout incident handling.
- Participate in a 24x7x365 rotating shift schedule, exclusively onsite in Athens, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating strong reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring operational patterns or areas where documentation can be enhanced.
Requirements
- Exceptional reliability and a strong sense of responsibility are paramount for this 24/7 operational role.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, is absolutely essential for clear reporting, documentation, and communication in our global environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a 24x7x365 rotating shift environment, which requires physical presence onsite.
- A basic, logical troubleshooting mindset and the ability to diligently follow established technical processes and instructions.
- Composure and a structured approach when working under pressure.
- A foundational understanding of core IT concepts (e.g., what a server is, basic network connectivity, applications).
- Team-oriented attitude with a collaborative spirit and a strong willingness to learn.
Nice to Have:
- Any previous experience in a monitoring, operational support, or Network Operations Center (NOC) role.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
- Prior experience with incident/ticketing platforms (e.g., Jira).
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
