Network Analyst

Role Definition:

Provides advisory services to protect an organization's IT and network infrastructure, data, and information systems from security threats.

What You Will Do:

  • Provides daily operational support for network and firewall policy Service Offerings.

  • Interfaces with internal process partners and vendor support staff to resolve technical issues attributed to Firewall and cloud policy service offerings.

  • Assists the Product Owner(s) in resolving technical matters associated with their product and associated service offerings.

  • Serves as a secondary technical analyst for ensuring the assigned product offering(s) efficiently realize team and organizational goals.

  • Assists the Product Owner in implementing, maintaining, and supporting all technical and process related elements associated with Firewall Policy, Network posture, and our web-based portal to realize the team’s service offerings.

  • Responsible for Communications to our customers, vendors, and process partners via various Caterpillar approved communication channels.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of Cyber Security network best practices

  • Working knowledge of internal Network Management and data/traffic flows.

  • Advanced Customer Service Skills.

  • Good Knowledge of firewall management and network protocols

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • One or more professional certification(s) from an accredited institution (CISSP, CCSP, GCED, GCED, etc.)

  • Experience architecting network traffic flows.

  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar Cyber Security Policies and Directives

  • Working knowledge of the Caterpillar Network Architecture

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

Cybersecurity Standards and Policies:

  • Knowledge of developing cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures; ability to develop and communicate policies, standards and procedures that guide interactions with customers.

  • Willingness to adapt to new challenges and changes in the cybersecurity landscape.

Collaboration:

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

  • Passion for identifying and solving complex security issues.

  • The ideal candidate be able to coach others effectively while also being open to receiving coaching and feedback.

  • A strong curiosity about new attack vectors and remediations, always seeking to stay ahead of potential threats.

Additional Info:

  • The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Irving, TX or Nashville, TN.
  • You must be willing to work 5 days ONSITE.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $95,640.00 - $155,400.00

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
