A Financial Services organisation is seeking experienced external strategic support to assist in the design and facilitation of a complex operational resilience simulation exercise.
Objectives:
- Design a simulation exercise scenario involving two concurrent crisis events, including the development of detailed injects to test operational and strategic resilience.
- Lead workshops with senior stakeholders to execute the scenario, capturing key discussion points, decisions, vulnerabilities, and outcomes.
- Document the results of the exercise, highlighting critical vulnerabilities and providing recommendations
Responsibilities:
- Test the response and communication protocols for managing IBS disruptions.
- Validate the organisation’s defined impact tolerances and assess the effectiveness of the end-to-end crisis detection, escalation, and response processes, including coordination with critical third-party dependencies.
- Confirm the viability of workarounds and contingency arrangements for executing high-priority payments during disruptions.
- Rehearse and evaluate the crisis decision-making process and internal governance.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in operational resilience, crisis simulation design, and scenario-based stress testing.
- Experience facilitating strategic-level exercises with executive stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
