The Centre
This lovely long-standing center located in Barnsley is looking for a Diploma Educator to join their team of established educators on a part-time basis. The center caters up to 25 children per day from the age of 2 to 5 years old. They focus on providing a nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Their philosophy emphasizes play-based learning, connecting children to nature, and fostering holistic development.
The Role:
As a Diploma Educator, you will be responsible to:
- Assisting and working alongside team of educators to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
- Communicating positively with the children and families
- Implementing education and care programs that meet the holistic needs of the individual child as part of a community
- Ensuring a trusting relationship is developed with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care of their child
- Having sound knowledge of current child care practices, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
- Being reliable, respectful, and working constructively with others

About you
To be successful in this position, you must have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR an ACECQA equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in childcare
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current first-aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
- Recent Child Protecting/Safeguarding training
- Food Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
- Strong udnerstanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Unsrestricted working hours
