We have an exciting opportunity at Caterpillar in Geneva to join the Enterprise Strategy team as a Parts Pricing Competitive Intelligence Consultant.

In this position, you will lead the continuous development of our competitive aftermarket parts pricing intelligence capabilities and ensure their integration with aftermarket pricing and go-to-market strategies. You will collaborate closely with sales execution, services development teams, product groups, and dealers to align pricing insights with strategic and operational goals.


What You Will Do:

  • Manage the definition, systematic collection, analysis and dissemination of competitive pricing intelligence for aftermarket parts prices worldwide
  • Define desired price premium positioning for parts or group of parts in collaboration with internal business partners
  • Define the roadmap to continuously improve existing data sources of competitive part prices and develop new ones (internal / external, qualitative / quantitative, AI)
  • Optimize investment of research budget with service providers and coordinate with business partners, always adhering to best practices
  • Manage ongoing compliant collection and aggregation of data to understand the competitive landscape
  • Extract actionable insights, trends in competitive price positioning and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with business partners to drive services growth

What You Have:

  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Entrepreneurial, inquisitive and analytical mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree concentrated in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience.

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence.
  • Experience working in the aftermarket.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires 5 days of on-site presence at the Geneva office.
  • Limited travel required (10% of working time)
  • A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
