Reporting to the Transactions Manager your responsibilities will include:
Oversee the day-to-day operational payment processes, ensuring workloads are covered and tasks are completed to a high standard
Assist the Transactions Manager in managing a team of up to 4
Work closely with the Transaction Manager to assist in improving the function, proactively identifying areas for improvement and highlighting any inefficiencies in systems and processes to create and operate a global centre of excellence.
Assist the team in the raising journal entries and ensure payments are accounted for correctly
Follow up with Payment Correction Adjustment requests, investigating further where necessary and collecting enough information for audit trail prior to approval
Assist in the production of weekly and monthly financial and analytical reports.
Produce a monthly KPI pack for the Transaction manager to review
Ensure new joiners have the appropriate training and knowledge to perform their roles.
Review and approve daily multi-currency manual payments in the bank
Resolve payment and Expenses related queries, liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders
Be a positive role model for the team, supportive to all team members and an ambassador for Finance Operations.
What we’re looking for:
Excellent managerial skills
A good understanding and working knowledge of, but not limited to, Payments and Reconciliations.
Experience of working in a global organisation
Strong ability to meet deadlines
Able to work independently but can discern when to escalate a problem
Excellent communication skills
Great at building and maintaining relationships across all areas of the business, capable of engaging effectively with operational stakeholders
Shows initiative through encouraging and initiating change and challenges the status quo
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Netsuite experience advantageous
