New Payroll Officer fixed term contract opportunity!

This 18 month fixed term contract Payroll Officer role provides you with the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive payroll team, working for a high performing and well known not for profit organisation.

You will report into an experienced, warm and engaging Payroll Leader and will be offered excellent opportunities to assist with payroll projects too, outside of BAU. The team is currently going through a system transformation.

This 18 month FTC Payroll Officer position is based in Sydney’s CBD close to public transport and offers flexible working from home and the office once you are up to speed with the company processing. The salary offering is between $80,000 - $85,000 + super depending on experience. Salary packaging is offered due to the organization being a not for profit.

About the Role

You will join the dynamic payroll team as an experienced Payroll Officer. You will be supported in the role and working alongside other Payroll Officers who are familiar with working in a high volume (2,000+ employees) fast paced environment. You will complete the payroll processing using Preceda/ Dayforce and UKG. Prior experience / knowledge of these systems would be a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing for 2,000 + employees on a fortnightly basis.
  • Setting up new starters, amending / updating employee information, answering payroll queries, processing terminations, workers compensation , etc.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to day with any changes to legislation.
  • Work closely with the WHS team to process worker compensation claims.
  • Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.

About You

  • 3+ years of previous experience is preferred.
  • Experience interpreting complex awards is beneficial, especially within the aged care industry.
  • Knowledge and experience using Preceda and/ or Dayforce & UKG is highly regarded but not essential to the role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
