Associate Director – RE Strategy Project Management Office

Job Location:
Any location in India (Preferable Chennai, India)

Job Requirement:

RE Strategy Project Management Office (PMO) shall be a senior role within the Cognizant Corporate Real Estate & Workplace Services (CREWS) function and will be working with Head of Real Estate Strategy providing RE strategy inputs, projects oversight & administrative support as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evolution of Project & Program Management Capabilities within CRE strategy function
  • Establish & implement a Project Management Framework, Methodologies & Processes, Governance & roll-out regionally
  • Plan and deliver all assigned projects end-to-end defining project success parameters
  • Assist in the development of RE Portfolio Strategy for APAC
  • Develop RE Strategy business cases, coordinating input from multiple sources including financial analysis
  • Build Financial Models/Scenarios and drive leadership alignment towards logical decision making
  • Drive coordination amongst all real estate specialised streams within CREWS & monitor projects with interdependencies
  • Ensure projects related cross-functional teams’ deliverables are understood, aligned & integrated with the overall project/program level objectives
  • Lead, influence, negotiate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Setup periodic cadence with leadership and prepare management level summary to report on project and team performance
  • Identify issues and assess project risks quickly and proactively, taking appropriate actions as required
  • Create and implement a communication plan to deliver timely, fact-based communications about the status of key initiatives
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of the status of both individual and the portfolio of projects
  • Responsible for accumulating and disseminating best practices
  • Provide the day-to-day leadership for the team of Project Managers, as required
  • Other duties assigned

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelors / Masters Degree in Science, Engineering, Business or Related Field required
  • Proven work experience 10+ yrs as CRE professional in leading & managing large/complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in business case development, financial modelling & project management from concept to delivery
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking, time-management & good communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills based on logical & methodological approach and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, mainly time constraints and competing priorities
  • Strong business/client-facing & interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent data analytical & presentation skills
  • Certification in Project Management is a plus
