Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·        Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.

·        Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and safety standards are maintained.

·        Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely material flow.

·        Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

·        Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and processes.

·        Manage customer-owned cargo and ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.

·        Coordinate import/export operations including stuffing and stripping at the CFS (Consolidated Freight Station).

·        Work directly with container lines and drayage companies at the Port of Houston.

·        Collaborate with union representatives, especially ILA, to ensure smooth labor operations.

·        Plan and optimize warehouse space and resource allocation for multiple client operations.

Qualifications

·        5+ years of warehouse management or intermodal logistics experience.

·        Experience with CFS operations, especially stuffing and stripping for import/export.

·        Experience working directly with the Port of Houston and container lines.

·        Experience with container drayage companies.

·        Experience working with unions (ILA preferred).

·        Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

·        Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams.

·        Experience managing cargo for multiple clients in a logistics environment (not production/manufacturing).

Software Proficiency

·        Microsoft Office (Advanced)

·        Power BI or Tableau (Reporting)

·        Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

·        Inventory and barcode scanning systems

Tools & Machinery Skills

·        Forklift operation (certification preferred)

·        Pallet jacks and hydraulic lifts

·        Handheld scanners and barcode systems

Educational Requirements

·        High School diploma or equivalent certification.

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse and Logistics.

·        Experience working in the stevedore industry.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and write, talk, type, and hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift or move up to 50 lbs. The associate typically works in an office environment but frequently visits a warehouse or outdoor environment and can work days and weekends when needed.
