To specialize in Retail Products, with a primary focus on Customer Deposits & Lending Solutions. This role involves strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive the growth and optimization of our customer deposit and lending products. As a Product Manager, will play a critical role in shaping Retail deposit portfolio, enhancing lending parameters, improving customer experiences, and achieving our strategic goals.

The Manager will be responsible for monitoring the portfolio’s performance, identifying opportunities and devising portfolio growth implementable actions, maintaining and executing Retail Product portfolio reports pertaining to balance sheet, profitability, product composition, demographics and product life cycle.

·        The manager will employ portfolio analysis results to inform product and procedure changes necessary to optimize portfolio performance in light of the strategic goals of Retail Banking

·        Collaborating with lines of business/support areas to ensure the products are most effective and the portfolio performance is maximized,

·        Be responsible for revenue generation and revenue leakage control including monitoring of none interest and transactional revenue

·        Serve as the hub of product and market information for sales & operations, marketing, development, support, finance, management and other stakeholders

·        Actively engage the branch networks to drive growth across multiple products by maintaining strong pipelines from customers.

·        Collect and interpret product portfolio data to identify emerging opportunities and risks; market trends and potentials; competitive forces; penetration strategies; profitability analysis. Incumbent must conduct competitive analysis, assessment, and research of new product and delivery channel feasibility.

·        Present ideas to enhance current products and to add new products to the product line; identify new product opportunities; identify gaps in the product line; understand cost analysis to communicate what it costs to produce the product and costs to deliver.

·        Be passionate and possess an active interest in seeking opportunities to grow the Bank’s Transactional and Deposit value proposition amongst all customer segments including but not limited to Mass, HNI, Diaspora, Youth, Women and underbanked.

·        Ability to collaborate extensively with finance partners in developing budgets, portfolio forecasting and analysis.

·        Participates and lead teams to maintain a product pipeline that adequately addresses short term, long term and emerging opportunities; escalates gaps in the product plan or overall business strategy.

·        Be responsible for deposit rates, pricing publications and system maintenance on pricing  

·        Active management of cost of fund and FTP on retail balance sheet through strategic pricing in collaboration with Treasury.

·        Implementation and adherence to all policies, processes, laws and regulations and train the retail channels accordingly.

·        Develop operational processes and procedures for products as well as process improvement strategies within the deposit and lending lines of business.

·        Partners with key stakeholders to include marketing, sales, operations, technology, project management office, payments, collections, and finance to ensure mutual goals are achieved.

·        Leverage on the banks technology and platform to grow the banks products.

Maintain and leverage of strong relationships with strategic partners in order objective of deposit growth is achieved.

Requirements

·        1st degree qualification in any related discipline

·        Minimum of 5 years Managerial experience in Retail Banking

(Post graduate qualification/MBA will be an added advantage)
