Caterpillar’s Earthmoving division is hiring a Product Service Consultant for Motor Graders! In this role, you will support the validation of pre-production Motor Graders and provide service engineering support for Motor Grader Worktools and North American GC Motor Graders.
What You Will Do:
New Product Introduction: Support field follow programs through regular site visits to inspect the machine and communicate observations to the NPI team for resolution.
Dealer Advocate: Main contact for field reps and Caterpillar dealers for North American GC Motor Graders and Worktools, addressing technical queries and product issues. Ensure both customer and dealer needs and challenges are effectively communicated to internal engineering teams to drive impactful solutions.
Service Engineering: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Continuous Improvement: Support continuous product/serviceability improvement (CPI) and warranty programs. Coordinate the return of field iron (SIBs) in support of root cause identification. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement ICA and PCA solutions, executing field fixes and field support programs.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
Customer Focus: Proven ability to collaborate directly with customers, dealers, and field representatives to gather insights and improve product performance.
Service Excellence: Experience executing field follow programs and conducting serviceability audits to enhance customer experience.
Effective Communications: Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with people in and outside the organization.
Technical Excellence: Motor Grader product knowledge and or product support process knowledge that supports the ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Top Candidates Will Have:
Four-year engineering or technical degree
Prior experience working with motor graders and/or service engineering
Prior experience supporting NPI field follow programs
Knowledge of the service requirements for Cat motor graders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact and build strong relationships with global teams and customers
Self-starter with a pro-active mindset, taking initiative to tackle challenges and drive effective solutions forward
Additional Info:
Location: Peoria, IL
Travel up to 75% (mainly US and Canada, with opportunity for additional international travel)
When not traveling, this role will be required to work in the Peoria office

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
