Description:

The IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate multiple safety-related digital initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, technical integrity, and alignment with organizational safety goals. This includes managing cross-functional teams and vendors across projects such as Behavior-Based Safety, e-Permit to Work, Emergency Management, Process Safety, Incident Management, AI-driven Incident Prediction, and Sustainability Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define scope, objectives, and deliverables for each safety-related IT project. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Facilitate communication between internal teams (Safety, IT, Operations) and external vendors. Ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and compliance requirements

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure quality assurance through standardized processes and documentation

Technical Oversight

  • Provide technical leadership, especially in safety systems integration (e.g., Sphera, PIMS, LIMS). Ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and compliance with safety standards

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Track KPIs, budget adherence, and progress reports for management review

Process Safety & Incident Management

  • Oversee digital tools for incident reporting, classification, and investigation. Ensure lessons learned are captured and shared across teams

Skills & Experience

  • Collaborate with engineering, geology, and operations teams to gather business requirements and translate them into system or process enhancements.

  • Develop business cases for operational improvements, cost optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Support implementation of ERP systems, process mining tools, and automation technologies.

  • Monitor KPIs across mining projects and generate actionable insights for leadership.

  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management.

  • Ensure alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and sustainability goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8–15 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in safety or manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.

  • Experience with safety platforms (e.g., Sphera, OSI PI, PIMS, LIMS).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of AI tools for predictive analytics in safety.

  • Experience in sustainability reporting systems.
