About the Role

Our client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a background in web testing and a working knowledge of mobile automation. This is a fully hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about building reliable, scalable, and efficient test systems using Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and modern CI/CD tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile using Playwright, Appium, and Selenium.
• Write end-to-end, integration, and regression tests in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Contribute to frontend and backend codebases for testability and automation integration.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins).
• Use observability tools (Sentry, Datadog) for bug tracing, log review, and performance analysis.
• Leverage AI-powered testing tools to improve test coverage and streamline testing workflows.
• Collaborate with development, product, and design teams to maintain a quality-first culture.
• Participate in test strategy discussions, code reviews, and QA process improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation (Android and iOS).
• Strong experience with Playwright and/or Selenium for web automation.
• Experienced in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins).
• Proficient in Sentry, Datadog, or equivalent tools.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute beyond test automation (manual testing when needed).

Benefits

• 🕘 Working hours: 9 AM – 5 PM PST.
• 💵 Salary: $4,000 USD/month.
