About the role:

The main objective is to remotely support the installation, integration, and acceptance processes of RAN hardware, including both active and passive equipment. The role will also involve troubleshooting, coordinating repair actions, and ensuring the smooth operation of RAN hardware to enhance service to customers.

Key Accountabilities:  

  • Remote Support: Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to RAN hardware malfunctions and RF equipment deficiencies.
  • Expertise in RAN Hardware: Specialized knowledge in RAN hardware and equipment installations, including RF equipment and passive components.
  • Analyze Trouble Tickets (TTs): Examine and analyze trouble tickets related to RAN issues, and take action by arranging for required materials, spares, and equipment.
  • Liaise with Contractors: Coordinate the efforts of contractors and logistics to ensure all activities related to installation, maintenance, and repairs are executed properly.
  • On-Site Support: Guide on-site technicians for installation, integration, troubleshooting, and applying workarounds or permanent solutions.
  • Troubleshooting Instruments: Decide on diagnostic instruments and arrange for site visits to conduct necessary measurements and troubleshooting.
  • Site Layout and Equipment Understanding: Ability to understand site floor plans, equipment layouts, and connection diagrams (e.g., RRU, RF, antennas).
  • Shift Work and On-Call Availability: Work weekdays with availability for 24/7 on-call duties, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Collaboration with NOCs: Communicate with Victus & MNO NOC teams and field contractor management to resolve hardware faults swiftly.
  • Report Preparation: Maintain reports on fault identification, recovery actions, and RAN equipment rollouts.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Education: Technical degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in RAN hardware equipment and RF/passive equipment operation and maintenance (experience with Huawei, Ericsson, or Nokia BTS is ideal).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of RAN hardware, network architecture, and topologies.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes, along with vendor organizational structures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Office Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Windows, and high-tech tools.
  • Customer-Oriented: Enthusiastic and customer-focused with a collaborative spirit.

Nice to have:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Telecoms.
