Records Officer & AI

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to join our Records and Information Services team for a 6-month contract. This role blends traditional records management with modern technology, offering a unique opportunity to work with CastlePoint for SharePoint, drive compliance, and explore AI/automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operationalize CastlePoint: Configure and run automated archiving and destruction in SharePoint and OneDrive, ensuring compliance with the Archives Act.
Retention and Disposal: Review records against retention schedules and disposal authorities to meet legislative requirements.
Control Assurance: Design, document, and test controls to support risk mitigation and compliance across our applications.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with risk managers and DevSecOps tech leads to align records practices with governance frameworks, providing guidance and support.
Optional Tech Contribution: Propose AI/automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, like issuing destruction certificates.
Does the below sound like you?
Strong knowledge of records management principles (retention, disposal, archiving).
Experience in compliance, risk management, or control assurance.
Familiarity with CastlePoint, SharePoint, Objective, or similar EDRMS platforms.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to work with diverse teams.
Analytical mindset with an interest in AI/automation (desirable).
Experience in government or regulated industries
