Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in corporate security and risk management.
  • People management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with standard software applications for communications, productivity and presentation.
  • Experience with technical and digital security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.
  • Experience conducting investigations including security and safety incidents.
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland security threats and risk landscape.
  • In-depth understanding of UK & Ireland security regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proven track record in managing security operations and security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, lead and manage the implementation of physical security operations, including programs and systems, across multiple, large campuses which include, but are not limited to threat/risk analysis, physical security, safety, investigations, event security, executive protection, disruptive event management, budget planning, resource allocation, and vendor/contract management.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of the physical security strategies and implement security enhancements, including proactive and reactive protocols and processes to keep Google employees safe.
  • Act as trusted advisor in the most critical hours to the country manager, site leadership, and UK and Ireland product area leads. 
  • Drive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, law enforcement, and government agencies.
  • Lead a large security staff, Googlers, and third-party providers through country and campus security managers and security supervisors, across multiple campuses located in different countries, ensuring strategic alignment.
