Release and Configuration Manager for a permanent position with a global service provider, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment of BackOffice applications across various non-production environments. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring installations, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining an accurate inventory of application versions. You will also play a key role in continuously improving release and configuration management processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the release process through a comprehensive Software Configuration Management (SCM) plan.
- Manage release schedules, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery of software releases.
- Plan and execute application installations on various non-production environments.
- Install and operate BackOffice applications on non-production environments, ensuring proper functioning.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of BackOffice application versions across all non-production environments.
- Analyze and report anomalies encountered during installations and drive their resolution.
- Report on successful installations and operational status.
- Participate in project progress meetings, providing regular updates.
- Continuously improve release and configuration management processes through automation and best practices.
Role Requirements:
- Highly experienced Release /Configuration Manager for large enterprise organisations, who has established software configuration management plans and managed software releases through the formal CAB.
- Solid experience with CI/CD methodologies, workflows, configuration management, and corresponding tools.
- Experience with SCM for large, complex software-based systems.
- Proficiency with Configuration Management tools, such as Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
