What you will work on
- Own and manage the Release Management process, ensuring compliance with policies and minimizing risks.
- Review and approve changes in coordination with stakeholders, ensuring proper risk assessment and rollback plans.
- Maintain a release calendar and ensure smooth coordination across development, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
- Facilitate release planning meetings, ensuring all changes are reviewed, dependencies are identified, and risks are mitigated.
- Track and monitor releases using JIRA and Confluence, ensuring all necessary approvals and documentation are in place.
- Work with development teams and DevOps to coordinate deployments, ensuring alignment with CI/CD best practices.
- Communicate release timelines, impacts, and status updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams to improve branching strategies, version control (GitHub), and deployment pipelines.
- Continuously refine release processes, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
What you bring
- 1-3 years of experience in release coordination, project coordination, or related IT roles.
- Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence for tracking releases and documentation.
- Good knowledge of version control (GitHub), including branching strategies (Git Flow, Trunk-based development, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to manage multiple teams and projects.
- Ability to analyze risks, enforce change control, and drive approval processes.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with software development teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills to handle complex release schedules.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ITIL Change Management best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Knowledge of automation tools ( GitHub Actions, etc.).
