Position Summary 

This is not a standard recruiting role—it is a high-impact contract position for a headhunter, bloodhound, and culture protector who is relentlessly driven to identify, engage, and secure the highest-quality candidates. You will be the front line of our talent acquisition strategy, operating as a strategic partner who understands that each hire directly shapes the future of our organization. 
 
As a Remote Recruiter, you will take full ownership of ad creation and placement, proactive sourcing, rigorous pre-screening, and pipeline management. You are not just processing applicants—you are hunting for excellence, evaluating cultural fit, and representing the company with professionalism and purpose. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Sourcing & Talent Hunting 

- Aggressively source high-quality candidates through direct outreach, cold targeting, social sourcing, Boolean search, industry crossovers, and networking 
- Maintain a bench of pre-screened, hire-ready candidates for common roles across the organization 
- Seek transferable skill sets from adjacent industries (e.g., trades, military, education, hospitality) based on role needs 

Ad Strategy & Optimization 

- Write and manage job postings across multiple platforms (e.g., Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn) 
- Continuously monitor ad performance, adjust strategy, and improve ROI through A/B testing, targeting, and wording refinement 
- Ensure recruiting dollars are spent effectively and reports are provided to leadership as needed 

Candidate Evaluation & Screening:

 
- Conduct interactive pre-screening calls designed to go beyond surface-level Q&A—ask follow-up questions, identify red flags, and assess professionalism, communication style, and mission alignment 
- Evaluate candidates equally on their motivation, professionalism, responsiveness, and overall interaction throughout the process—not just on technical qualifications 
- Critically analyze résumés and employment history to detect inconsistencies, job-hopping patterns, unexplained gaps, or misalignment with role expectations 

Collaboration & Reporting 

- Work directly with the HR Director to align on role expectations, candidate profiles, and staffing forecasts 
- Maintain accurate tracking in the ATS and ensure compliance with internal hiring protocols 
- Provide regular updates, hiring reports, and candidate pipelines to HR leadership 
- Track recruiting KPIs including time-to-fill, source quality, conversion rates, and performance-based outcomes 

Required Qualifications 

- Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience with a proven headhunter mentality 
- Demonstrated success in proactive sourcing and closing hard-to-fill roles 
- Strong verbal interviewing and candidate assessment skills 
- Ability to critically analyze résumés and screen for red flags, inconsistencies, or cause for concern 
- Hands-on experience managing job postings, optimizing ad spend, and tracking performance metrics 
- Tech-savvy and organized with experience using ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools 
- High level of independence, accountability, and internal motivation 
- Must have own workspace, technology, and internet access suitable for full-time remote work 

Preferred Qualifications 

- Experience recruiting for behavioral health, nonprofit, or healthcare roles 
- Familiarity with Arizona licensure requirements (e.g., BHT, LAC, LPC, LCSW, RN) 
- Willingness to become highly proficient with the Culture Index platform—training will be provided. Must be willing to work directly with our external consultants to interpret results and guide candidate selection
