About the Role

This roles will focus in conducting in-depth primary and secondary research on sustainability, ESG, and climate-related topics to inform organizational strategy. This includes developing comprehensive reports, tracking emerging trends and policies, and maintaining internal knowledge systems. The role also involves leading data collection, spatial mapping, and stakeholder engagement for climate resiliency initiatives, such as the Heat Map project, and ensuring findings are integrated into programmatic strategies.

Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on sustainability, ESG, and climate-related topics.
  • Develop reports, briefs, and white papers based on research findings.
  • Monitor relevant sustainability trends, policies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support knowledge-building efforts through internal documentation and database maintenance.

Climate Resiliency Project

  • Lead data gathering, spatial mapping, and stakeholder engagement related to the Climate Resiliency Heat Map project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate data into programmatic strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations in clear, actionable formats.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Liaise with external partners (academics, NGOs, consultants) for collaborative research or joint initiatives.
  • Support internal teams in integrating research findings into program design and decision-making.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Assist in preparing sustainability reports, case studies, and evaluation tools.
  • Ensure research outputs are well-documented, cited, and aligned with Amartha’s ESG narrative.

General Support

  • Participate in meetings, events, and knowledge-sharing forums related to impact and sustainability.
  • Assist in administrative tasks including procurement, budgeting, and documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in sustainability, environmental issues, and social impact.
  • Proven ability to conduct and synthesize research from diverse sources.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and data visualization is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative
