Job Title: Sales Support Consultant
Salary/Grade: £39,423 - £49,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Larne
Benefits:
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Up to 10% bonus
Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%
Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution.

The opportunity
The Sales Support Consultant will support the Rental Power Sales team with dealer engagement, commercial actions, market research and development, data collection, analysis, and reporting across EAME territories. This role plays a critical part in enabling the sales team to make informed decisions and drive strategic growth.
You will be responsible for structuring and maintaining report-outs that help the sales team manage performance and identify opportunities. You will develop territory dashboards and dealer profiles that highlight performance metrics, customer segmentation, and opportunity areas.
This role will also involve creating and following up on commercial support materials such as promotional content, sales enablement resources tailored to dealer needs and providing insights and recommendations based on territory performance and customer trends.
You will also work closely with the sales team to translate field insights into actionable commercial strategies, helping to shape campaigns, promotions, and product launches. This includes gathering feedback from dealers and customers, identifying gaps in the market, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to refine offerings and improve responsiveness.
As the Sales Support Consultant, you will be expected to work with minimal supervision and will have developed recognized expertise in analyzing activity within specific marketing disciplines, including sales record card reporting, dealer performance tracking, and commercial program effectiveness.
What you will do:
Responsible for the day-to-day support for commercial activities and to ensure sales teams and dealers have the support needed.
Develop and follow up on commercial initiatives such as promotional campaigns and product positioning efforts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Work on dealer financial metrics and rental support funds.
Provide data for sales and strategic analysis and act as a key point of contact for sales teams requiring information to facilitate business growth objectives.
Analyse and interpret the data required from dealers as well as draw attention to any trends or changes in market-based activity.
Collect data from within and outside the company (e.g. dealer network across Europe, Africa and Middle East territories.) such that the information contained therein is up to date on a day-to-day basis.
Provide assistance to the sales director to create and maintain a sales funnel reporting of existing and new accounts in addition to support coordinating marketing events across the EAME region.
Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and responsiveness to dealer and market needs.

Education:
A degree or must have proven progressive experience.

Expected to gradually develop commercial actions which may require travelling around 20% of working time.
