SAP ABAP/BTP Technical Lead - Manager - 65466151

About the role

As an SAP ABAP/BTP Technical Lead, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and implementing innovative cloud-ready solutions using ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will be a valued member of the SAP Development team and work collaboratively with functional consultants, architects, and UX designers.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement technology solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

• Develop scalable applications using ABAP RAP on SAP BTP.

• Create and manage CDS Views, OData services, and service bindings.

• Optimize performance using HANA-specific features like AMDP and CDS annotations.

• Extend SAP S/4HANA functionality via in-app and side-by-side extensions.

• Integrate SAP systems with external platforms using REST APIs.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, authorization, and audit logging standards.

• Support agile delivery through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Work model: Remote with travel – from the United States only

What you need to have to be considered

• 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP and SAP BTP development.

• Proficiency in ABAP RAP and cloud extensibility.

• Experience with CDS Views, OData services, and HANA-specific features.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• SAP Certified Associate - Back-End Developer - ABAP Cloud.

Salary and Other Compensation

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
