Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) and Product Costing to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of financial business processes, strong functional knowledge of SAP FICO modules, and hands-on configuration experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of SAP Finance solutions aligned with business requirements and financial reporting standards.

The SAP FICO Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, manufacturing, and IT to ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with core business functions. This is a strategic role involving both project implementation and ongoing support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP FICO Implementation & Support

  • Lead the configuration and deployment of SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).
  • Provide deep expertise in COPA (Costing-Based and Account-Based Profitability Analysis) and Product Costing (standard and actual costing) modules.
  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Design, document, and implement SAP FICO functional solutions according to best practices and business needs.

Financial Integration & Costing

  • Implement and support product costing scenarios including cost planning, material ledger, variance analysis, and cost object controlling.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements related to profitability and product costing.
  • Provide cost simulations and support decision-making processes for pricing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of data between SAP and financial reporting systems.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Act as a finance process lead for SAP-related projects and enhancements.
  • Participate in blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and support activities.
  • Work with business users and developers to resolve technical and functional issues.
  • Provide user training, create documentation, and ensure effective knowledge transfer to key users.

Operational Excellence & Support

  • Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot FICO-related issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and enhancements through a structured change management process.
  • Continuously evaluate system capabilities and proactively suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) to ensure end-to-end process integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO with specialization in COPA and Product Costing.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Controlling processes including cost centers, internal orders, profitability segments, and profit center accounting.
  • Proven experience in at least two full-cycle SAP implementations.
  • Solid understanding of integration points with other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment is a plus.
