The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered.
In this role, you will ensure that the company maintains oversight, governance, and meets all its legal and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, Legal, PSS (Privacy, Safety and Security), and other impacted Product Areas.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Support organizations under regulatory settlements or consent decrees along with working in or with large tech companies or platforms with global compliance footprints.
- Conduct control audits, process assessments, or technical risk reviews along with fluency with technical systems (APIs, databases, cloud environments).
- Manage advanced audit, risk, legal and assurance/testing.
- Manage consumer compliance regulations. such as, Consumer Protection Act; Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB); along with an understanding of laws and rules designed to safeguard the rights of consumers and ensure integrity in the marketplace.
