Senior Commercial Specialist

The Opportunity

Randstad is partnering with ASC to find a Senior Commercial Advisor. The successful candidate for this role, which reports to the Commercial Manager, will be responsible for supporting all commercial aspects of contracts and relationships for the SSN-AUKUS program.

Our Senior Commercial Advisor position is based in Osborne, South Australia. We understand that this may require a move for the right candidate, and we're open to considering individuals who are willing to relocate to the Adelaide area. We will provide assistance with relocation expenses to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing commercial advice and ensuring contract deliverables are met.
• Leading contract administration tasks to ensure adherence to the program schedule and quality reporting.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to manage commercial outcomes.
• Communicating program risks, commercial obligations, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Implementing lessons learned from completed projects to establish ASC as a learning organization.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a complex commercial setting.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in a commercial, legal, or business advisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing complex contracts, including resolving difficult issues to achieve positive commercial outcomes.
• Experience in drafting agreements and managing commercial risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities with limited direction, and build strong business relationships.

A degree of flexibility with working hours is required, and the role may involve periodic overseas travel.
