As a Senior Cypress Automation Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and executing functional automation strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering & Assurance (QEA) team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts.
· Develop and maintain functional automation scripts using Cypress, ensuring robust test coverage.
· Perform manual testing to identify and document defects across various platforms.
· Conduct REST/API service testing to validate backend functionality and integrations.
· Execute accessibility testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Utilize Jira for defect tracking and test management, maintaining transparency and traceability.

· 6–8 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA).
· Strong hands-on experience with Cypress test automation.
· Proficiency in manual testing, API testing, and accessibility testing.
· Experience with Jira for defect tracking and test management.
· Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
· Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
· Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
· Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
