Are you a seasoned data professional with a passion for driving transformation across enterprise platforms? We’re currently seeking a Senior Data Lead to join a high-profile Strategic Data Program for a major Queensland-based organisation in the energy and utilities sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next phase of a multi-year data transformation initiative, focused on enhancing enterprise analytics, data integration, and leveraging cloud-based technologies including Azure, Power BI, and SAP.

About the Program

Following the successful delivery of Phase 1—which introduced an Azure Data Lake and centralised Data Warehouse—Phase 2 is now underway. The focus is on building smarter, faster data pipelines, improving ELT capabilities, and enabling advanced analytics through AI and enterprise-grade reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Data Lead, you’ll play a central role in delivering critical data transformation activities, including:

• Preparing data for UAT and pilot phases
• Reviewing and implementing the data transformation roadmap
• Maintaining the Data Transformation Register
• Loading and reconciling data across SAP environments
• Updating key Data Design documentation, including risk and impact assessments

• Developing and managing:

- Data Mapping Workbooks
- Data Loading Scripts and Templates
- Data Quality and Monitoring Reports
- Data migration verification testing plans, scripts, and reports

• Supporting other related data tasks as required throughout the program lifecycle

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in senior data leadership roles within large-scale transformation programs across utilities
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure, SAP (multiple clients), and Power BI in enterprise environments
• A strategic mindset with the ability to execute detailed data plans and manage complex data landscapes
• A collaborative approach and ability to work across business and technical teams
