We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to help architect and build the wireless backbone of high-performance, mission-critical devices. Based in Bengaluru, this is a hands-on technical role focused on developing secure and robust embedded firmware for wireless communication in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure Firmware Development: Design, develop, and validate safety-critical firmware with a strong emphasis on secure wireless communication protocols.
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4 Implementation: Integrate and optimize BLE 5.4 features, including LE Secure Connections, ensuring the protection of all sensitive data with modern encryption techniques.
  • Advanced Wi-Fi Integration: Develop and support Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) functionality with a strong focus on WPA3 protocol for secure networking.
  • End-to-End Embedded Security: Build a multi-layered security framework involving secure boot processes, encrypted OTA firmware updates, and TLS 1.2/1.3 for secure communication. Prior experience with FIPS 140-2/3 cryptographic modules is a strong plus.
  • Verification & Validation (V&V): Author and execute comprehensive V&V test plans and produce detailed design and test documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • System Performance Optimization: Resolve challenges related to wireless coexistence, RF performance, and power efficiency in battery-operated devices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++.
  • Proven expertise in secure embedded development including TLS, PKI, encryption, and secure boot mechanisms.
  • Extensive experience working with BLE stacks and implementing security features of the BLE 5.4 specification.
  • Solid understanding of Wi-Fi protocols including secure frameworks such as WPA2/WPA3 in embedded environments.
  • Familiarity with RTOS platforms like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar.
  • Experience working in a structured and regulated development environment with strong practices in code review, documentation, and testing.
