We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support Eightcap’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fullstack engineering, with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. This role plays a key part in driving our mission to provide an exceptional experience to both our clients and team.
Key Responsibilities
Fullstack Development
- Design and implement user-friendly web applications using modern frameworks, ensuring a responsive and seamless experience.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs to support high-traffic trading environments.
- Work with databases to create efficient data models and manage data storage solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions effectively.
Collaboration & Code Quality
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high coding standards and share knowledge with your peers.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive interfaces that drive user engagement.
- Adopt and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and automate testing processes.
Continuous Improvement & Mentorship
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and tools to drive innovation within the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Contribute actively to project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of features and functionalities.
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of fullstack software development experience, preferably in a trading or financial services environment.
- Proficient in modern web development technologies including React, Angular, or Vue.js for front-end development.
- Strong experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or .NET.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices to facilitate rapid and reliable delivery of software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A passion for mentoring and helping others grow within the tech field.
