What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Senior Experience Manager, Localisation to lead and grow our fantastic localisation function, ensuring that our products and experiences resonate with customers, riders, and partners across all markets.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands both experience design principles and localisation complexity, and can elevate Deliveroo’s global experience at scale.

You’ll work within the Experience org, lead a team of Localisation Managers who support all sides of our marketplace and partner closely with Design, Research, Content, Product, and Engineering leadership. You’ll shape and oversee the localisation strategy, ensuring localisation is deeply integrated into our global product vision. You’ll help drive cross-functional alignment and guide the ongoing improvement of localisation operations — all to deliver inclusive, high-quality experiences that resonate with users in every market we serve.

What You’ll Be Doing

Culture & collaboration

  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing localisation team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion and growth. Role modelling Deliveroo’s culture.

  • Prepare the next generation of managers and help our individual contributors progress in their careers by investing in professional development and creating growth opportunities across the team.

  • Help your team execute efficiently in a global environment with clear communication and by creating a roadblock-free path.

  • Champion world-class execution through coaching quality standards, other best practices and by ensuring priorities are clear.

  • Strengthen the team's impact through cross-team collaboration to align with broader strategies, making the products we deliver better.

  • Share and celebrate your team’s talent and work with regular recognition of significant achievements

Leadership & Strategy

  • Champion localisation across the organisation and build alignment across stakeholders.

  • Define, lead and evolve Deliveroo’s localisation strategy, ensuring all products are globally inclusive and locally relevant. Shape strategic alignment with regional and market leaders, ensuring insights into user needs and market trends guide localisation efforts.

  • Partner closely with cross-disciplinary leads across Product, Marketing, Ops & Engineering to embed internationalisation and localisation across the development lifecycle.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on localisation priorities, ensuring Localisation is integrated into planning and delivery processes to prioritise local relevance and cultural inclusivity.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement in localisation processes, workflows, and quality assurance standards, ensuring these align with the strategy and are optimised to support global scale, efficiency and consistency.

  • Oversee operational excellence across localisation delivery, ensuring the right structures, partnerships, and governance are in place to meet evolving business and market needs.

  • Own localisation tooling ops, managing vendors and linguists and working with internal teams to optimise TMS and automation.

This role is for you if you…

  • Have strong experience across language services, localisation, and global content operations. Have years of experience in leading localisation or internationalisation functions at scale, and program leadership in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • You are an excellent communicator—you bring positive energy and get those around you excited about your team’s purpose. You practice people-first leadership, help your team overcome career and work hurdles, and nurture the future leaders of our team

  • You love building teams and products, and enjoy making an impact. Your understanding of localisation processes, operations, tools (TMS, CAT), and internationalisation best practices is strong.

  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Have experience managing budgets, vendor management, contract negotiation and collaborating with finance.
