Role Definition

Caterpillar Financial is seeking a skilled Senior Finance Analyst (Treasury) to join our EAME Regional Treasury Centre (RTC) based in Luxembourg. The RTC provides the lowest possible funding costs, optimal risk, and cash management services to operations of Caterpillar Financial across Europe, Africa Middle East and CIS (EAME). The Senior Finance Analyst will contribute in the areas of funding, foreign exchange – and interest rate management, supporting the treasury operations.

In this role you will support treasury operations by developing and executing funding strategy, managing foreign exchange and interest rate exposures, and contributing to the broader financial strategy of Caterpillar Financial.

What You Will Do:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the Regional Treasury Centre team.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting financing analysis for the EAME region including emerging markets
  • Executing derivative trades (Foreign Exchange, Interest rate, and Cross-Currency Swaps), managing external debt (capital markets, revolving credit facilities, bilateral loans etc.) and internal debt (intercompany loans etc.)
  • Leading projects to completion by gathering information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing solutions, and providing insights to support or influence business decisions.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to peers and recommendations to management on finance-related matters.
  • Producing reports for management on a wide range of topics including external debt, liquidity forecasts, interest rate and F/X valuations, and asset-liability management
  • Participating in various internal meetings with Caterpillar Financial and Caterpillar Inc. teams across global locations.
  • Representing Caterpillar Financial in external meetings with partners such as corporate banks, auditors, and consultants.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and participating in treasury related projects.

Derivatives: Knowledge of the structure, attributes, uses, terminology and processing of basic derivatives; ability to use knowledge of derivatives appropriately.

Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.

Investment Banking Services: Knowledge of the responsibilities, regulations, and business practices of investment banking; ability to operate mutual funds, securities and bonds, corporate debt underwriting, or mergers and acquisitions.

Top Candidates Also Have:

  • Bachelor Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of progressive experience in Treasury, Financial Analysis, Banking, and/or Dealer/Customer Financing.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Cash Management
    • Debt execution (Medium-Term Notes, Commercial Paper and bilateral bank loans)
    • Foreign exchange
    • Asset/Liability Management
    • Treasury systems and technology tools

Additional Information:

  • Moderate travel may be required (between 0% to 5% of working time)
  • Relocation assistance may be provided for candidates who are authorized to work in Luxembourg without visa sponsorship. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications or work permit processes for this role.
  • This is a full-time, onsite role based in Luxembourg (5 days/week)
