About the role
As a key member of our core Finance team, you’ll ensure that our financial operations remain fast, accurate, and audit-ready across four entities and multiple currencies. You’ll own the close process, strengthen reporting, ensure compliance across jurisdictions, and help build a scalable accounting function. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and drive process improvements that have a lasting impact.
You'll report directly to the Finance Manager and work cross-functionally with internal teams and external advisors.
Responsibilities
- Own Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, driving consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across all entities.
- Journal Entries & Reconciliations: Prepare and review entries related to deferred revenue, hardware amortization, cost accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain monthly reporting packages; ensure alignment with IFRS, Greek GAAP, and internal policies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and review the work of the Accounting Associate; mentor and support skill development.
- Vendor Oversight: Manage and optimize deliverables from outsourced accounting partners, ensuring quality, compliance, and value.
- Audit & Tax Support: Prepare audit-ready financials and documentation as the primary preparer, coordinating directly with auditors and tax advisors.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Support process improvement and automation initiatives across our finance tech stack (Xero, Stripe, Ramp)
- Policy & Controls: Support internal control development and ensure compliance with our growing operational and audit environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or tech-driven businesses
- Track record of preparing audit-ready financials in a multi-entity environment
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP;
- Experience in group reporting, intercompany eliminations, and multi-entity accounting
- Relentless attention to detail with a bias for accuracy and action
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal — in English
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Bonus Points
- CPA, ACCA, or Master’s in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Stripe, Ramp, or SaaS-specific revenue recognition
- Prior involvement in year-end audits or financial systems projects
