Senior Full Stack Lead (Java + Angular)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Full Stack Tech lead with strong Java and Angular expertise to build scalable, high-performance web applications. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver secure, responsive solutions that drive business impact.

Location: Jersey City

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Java and Angular.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain server-side logic and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive, dynamic UIs using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve full-stack issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and development trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing web applications with Java and Angular.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs).
• Expertise in Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between 120,500 - 141,500k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
