Senior Fullstack Tech Lead

About the role

As a Senior Fullstack Tech Lead you will make an impact by supporting the team on the daily challenges. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with Multicultural teams.

In this role, you will:

1. Lead Backend Development Projects:

o Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using Node.js, with a focus on RESTful API design and security best practices.

o Oversee the full lifecycle of API development—from planning and modeling to deployment and monitoring.

2. Mentor and Manage Development Teams:

o Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and mid-level developers.

o Conduct code reviews, set development standards, and foster a collaborative team environment.

3. Build and Optimize Frontend Applications:

o Develop and maintain user-facing features using React and Next.js, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

o Optimize performance and accessibility across web platforms.

o Design and Deploy AWS-Based Infrastructure

o Model and deploy custom databases from scratch in AWS, tailored to backend service needs.

o Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions.

4. Implement CI/CD and Cloud Deployment Pipelines:

o Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and AWS tools to automate testing, integration, and deployment.

o Monitor and troubleshoot cloud deployments to ensure high availability and performance.

Work model: Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in Cognizant office in São Paulo, SP. What you need to have to be considered

· Bachelor’s degree

· Advanced English

· Extensive background with Node.js and API development (RESTful APIs)

· Proven leadership in managing and mentoring development teams

· Strong knowledge with React and Next.js

· Proficiency in designing, implementing, and deploying APIs

· Hands-on background creating and deploying databases in AWS, including modeling from scratch for backend services

· Background in developing backend solutions with custom database design from the ground up in AWS environments

· Deep understanding of API security best practices

· Ability to work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred)

· Hands-on background with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
