We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to join our Finance team!
This role will play a key role in US accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidation efforts, while also supporting other financial reporting, consolidation and departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with U.S. accounting experience and strong technical expertise. Success in this role requires excellent collaboration across teams and a continuous improvement mindset to drive process efficiencies within a global finance environment.
General Ledger Management
- Prepare and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, leases, debt and equity, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Oversee key GL processes, including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and payroll posting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring financial integrity and accuracy.
- Support the reconciliation and timely processing of payroll, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the global accounting function.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly review files and perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
Tax & Audit Compliance
- Support external audits to provide supporting documentation and assist with tax return filings by collaborating with regional controllers and the tax director.
- Assist in preparing audited financial statements, including required disclosures, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable standards.
Requirements
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent fully qualified accounting designation required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on global accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting.
- Prior experience working for a US-based company with international operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency transactions.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, FloQast, Brex, Tipalti, and Carta is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with global finance teams and senior leadership.
