Job Summary

As a Senior Google Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform. With a focus on GCP Design and Architecture you will leverage your expertise to build scalable and efficient cloud infrastructures. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s mission to deliver innovative and reliable cloud services to clients enhancing their operational efficiency and business growth.

Responsibilities

· Design and implement robust cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform to meet business requirements and objectives.

· Oversee the development and deployment of cloud solutions ensuring they are scalable secure and cost-effective.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GCP services into existing systems enhancing overall performance and reliability.

· Provide technical guidance and support to development teams ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and deployment are followed.

· Utilize Terraform and Cloud Foundation Toolkit to automate infrastructure provisioning and management improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

· Implement hybrid connectivity solutions to seamlessly integrate on-premises systems with cloud environments ensuring data consistency and availability.

· Optimize the use of Google Cloud Compute Engine and Cloud Load Balancing to enhance application performance and user experience.

· Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

· Stay updated with the latest GCP technologies and trends to continuously improve cloud solutions and maintain a competitive edge.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective cloud solutions that drive business success.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all cloud-related activities maintaining the highest level of security and privacy.

· Lead initiatives to optimize cloud costs ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

· Demonstrate extensive experience in GCP Design and Architecture with a strong understanding of GCP services and solutions.

· Possess hands-on experience with Terraform and Cloud Foundation Toolkit for infrastructure automation.

· Exhibit proficiency in implementing hybrid connectivity solutions and integrating cloud services with on-premises systems.

· Show expertise in using Google Cloud Compute Engine and Cloud Load Balancing to optimize application performance.

· Have a solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

· Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

· Hold a relevant certification such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $99,782– $161,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
