Senior Java Developer
CognizantWe are seeking a dedicated Senior Java Developer with experience in Commerce - Technical and Java. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model focusing on developing and optimizing technical solutions. Experience in Warehouse Management Systems within the retail domain is a plus. The role involves day shifts with no travel required.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in the client or Cognizant office. Role & Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of technical solutions in Commerce
Technical and Java to meet business requirements.
Oversee the implementation of software applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Ensure the quality of code through regular code reviews and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements translating them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed systems and applications.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate them into projects.
Optimize existing systems for scalability and efficiency ensuring they meet future business needs.
Participate in agile ceremonies contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations in all technical solutions.
Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
7+ years of relevant work experience
Possess strong expertise in Commerce
Technical and Java with a proven track record of successful project delivery
Experience in Warehouse Management Systems within the retail domain is highly desirable
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative work environment
Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies

The annual salary for this position is between $64,734 – $102,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
