Role: Senior JAVA Developer with experience in Oracle Banking Platform

· Experience in developing and supporting application on Oracle Banking Platform.

· Good knowledge on Banking domain like Lending, Collections and hands on skills on Java API and Integration with 3rd party tools

Experience: 10+ years of strong experience

Location: The candidate must be willing to work in a hybrid model from the Client’s location in Brookfield, WI.

Required Skills:

Candidate will lead a team of talented engineers in designing and developing high-quality software solutions. With a focus on Spring Boot Microservices and Core Java you will drive the implementation of REST Web Services and PL/SQL applications. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker who can balance technical expertise with team management to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in the design and development of scalable software solutions using Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Oversee the implementation of REST Web Services to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development ensuring high-quality code and efficient processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and deliver impactful solutions.
• Manage project timelines and resources ensuring timely delivery of software products.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the teams capabilities and improve product offerings.
• Ensure the security and performance of software applications through rigorous testing and optimization.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Monitor and report on project progress addressing any challenges or roadblocks proactively.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software projects ensuring clarity and accessibility for future reference.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement encouraging team members to expand their skills and knowledge.
• Support the professional growth of team members through regular feedback and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in Spring Boot Microservices and Core Java demonstrating a deep understanding of these technologies.
• Have a strong background in REST Web Services and PL/SQL with proven experience in developing robust applications.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of successfully leading engineering teams.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset capable of navigating complex technical challenges.
• Show proficiency in project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time.
• Display effective communication skills both written and verbal to facilitate collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
