Senior Machine Operator

Randstad are seeking an experienced Packing Machine Operator with the potential to be a production line supervisor to join a well established locally owned business in the western suburbs! Whether you're an experienced production supervisor looking for a change or an experienced machine operator looking for your next step, This role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Efficient operation of packing machines including loading and unloading raw materials
• Monitor the production process to ensure quality standards are met
• Follow production schedules and collaborate with team members to meet requirements & Customer Orders
• Manage a small team of packing machine line workers
• Maintain inventory of packing supplies & spare parts
• Troubleshoot equipment when required
• Follow planned maintenance schedules of machines and ensure completion by the team
• Ensure all food safety in line with HACCP standards and OHS are met and followed

Successful candidates will have

• Proven ability to operate a VFFS packing machine with multi head weigher, or similar transferable skills.
• A current valid Forklift License
• The ability to work autonomously and use initiative
• Sound communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong understand of WHS requirements
• Experience within food production -Highly Desirable
• Experience leading a team -Highly Desirable
