WHAT IS YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Operations Manager to provide corporate financial reporting, manage accounting operations, and lead a growing team in the Philippines. This role combines hands-on accounting expertise with team leadership responsibilities, serving as both a technical contributor and ambassador for Standard's values. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, leadership experience, and a commitment to developing high-performing teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Responsible for activities in the areas of transactional accounting, consolidation, reporting, and analytics required to support Company operations.
  • Manage and mentor the offshore accounting team, serving as the lead on team growth and performance.
  • Direct and assign daily tasks to the accountant responsible for operational accounting functions.
  • Perform month-end close processes including preparing journal entries and various reporting deliverables
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Assists in the group consolidation process and the financial reporting of the group
  • Responsible for high-quality analytics and valuable variance commentary on actual and forecasted financial information
  • Responsible for preparing financial reports that comply with US GAAP (and IFRS), promptly, to accurately reflect the financial status of the Company
  • Responsible for applying strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and report on issues that impact the financial performance of the Company, making recommendations for solutions, and following through to resolution
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP (IFRS) and identify and implement applicable new US GAAP (IFRS)
  • Provide supporting documentation and work with external auditors
  • Assures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the creation and implementation of appropriate internal controls
  • Act as team lead and serve a point of contact for management in the Philippines.
  • Monitor team morale and manage team retention.
  • Manage issue escalation and resolution.
  • Prepares ad hoc analyses and reports as needed

YOU HAVE…

  • 5+ years experience in the Accounting field required, with at least 2 years in management or supervisory roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
  • Experience leading distributed or teams outside of the United States.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
