Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Production is responsible for overseeing the daily operations across all shifts within a large manufacturing facility or multiple production sites. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in performance, quality, and cost control, while leading and developing a high-performing operations team.

What will you do:

  • Lead staffing, development, and performance management initiatives for operations personnel; coach and empower the management team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee all production activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, production schedules, and performance targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, cost efficiency, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and foster a safe, reliable, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relates to the field
  • Fluent English
  • Expert in machining and welding processes

  • Applies advanced quality assurance tools and methodologies
  • Leads quality reviews and communicates the value of quality systems.
  • Develops programs to motivate teams toward achieving quality objectives.

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Oversees daily production activities to meet targets and forecasts.
  • Facilitates cross-functional communication and ensures policy compliance.
  • Evaluates risks and recommends industry benchmarks for operational excellence.

Manufacturing Safety:

  • Conducts safety inspections and ensures OSHA compliance.
  • Develops emergency response procedures and promotes safety culture.
  • Identifies and addresses emerging safety risks across the facility.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures & Policies:

  • Participates in the development and implementation of manufacturing standards.
  • Ensures procedural compliance and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Communicates the rationale and importance of standards within the team.

Production Scheduling & Control:

  • Coordinates production documentation and ensures timely job completion.
  • Diagnoses production issues and implements corrective actions.
  • Manages demand patterns and lead times to optimize production flow.

  • P&L Management (Budgeting, Forecasting) Quality System Management (6 Sigma, CQMS, ISO, Lean, APQP) Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Knowledge including Safety Management, Performance Management, Project Planning, Manufacturing Standards and NPI/NSI Process
  • Knowledge managing Operational Excellence Teams
  • Machining or Welding Technical Knowledge

  • Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.
  • This position is 5 days a week in-office model.
