Senior .NET Engineer

About the role

As a Senior .NET Engineer you will make an impact by designing and developing scalable, high-performance software solutions that support business-critical functions. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including the Asset and Wealth Management teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain robust applications using PostgreSQL, Angular, and .NET Core.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other engineers to design and implement software solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through testing, debugging, and optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Integrate domain-specific functionalities related to Asset and Wealth Management into software solutions.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 10–14 years of experience in software engineering, with strong expertise in .NET Core, Angular, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proven experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile development environments and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong understanding of application security and data protection principles.
  • Experience working in or with Asset and Wealth Management domains.

These will help you stand out:

  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and application optimization techniques.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $81k to $140k depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
