Position Summary:

As a Senior Developer, we are looking for someone with a blend of good client facing/ consulting skills (i.e., excellent communication skills, articulate) experience within technical aspects/delivery. This role sits within Cognizant’s RPA Practice. You will have experience in the Microsoft Power Platform, including MS PowerApps, Flow, Power BI, and Azure Document Intelligence. Your responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of data gateways, developing Azure logic apps and functions, and Power BI development. You will provide architecture configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365. Additionally, you will be able to estimate work effort and extrapolate into project plans.

You should be proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining complex business applications using both canvas and model-driven approaches. You should also have a deep understanding of Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and relationships is essential. Strong expertise in Power Automate for building complex workflows, advanced knowledge of Power Fx formulas and complex app logic, and a comprehensive understanding of the Power Platform ecosystem and tool integration. You should also be proficient in building interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using the MS Power Platform, using both canvas and model driven approaches.
• Installation of data gateways.
• Developing Azure logic apps and functions
• Development of interactive Power BI reports and dashboards
• Integrate apps with data sources like Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Dynamics 365.
• Customize components, layouts, and workflows to meet organizational needs.
• Analyse systems to identify inefficiencies and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Create user-friendly interfaces and automate processes with Power Automate.
• Test applications for functionality, performance, and security.
• Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates for existing apps.
• Conduct training sessions and prepare user guides/documentation.
• Possess expertise in Power Apps, data management tools, and Azure integration.
• Ensure comprehensive code documentation to facilitate understanding and future modifications.
• Safeguard the development environment by enforcing security protocols and compliance standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication and analytical critical thinking skills.
• Lead onshore and on/offshore developer teams.
• Plan and assign tasks to team members.
• Leverage agile (SCRUM) to track and report on project process.
• Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed of project health, blockers, risks, escalations.

• Raise tickets with software vendors should the need arise and keep a track of progress to resolution.

  Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in the Microsoft Power Platform MS PowerApps Flow and Power BI Azure Document Intelligence.

• Expertise in Dataverse: Knowledge of Common Data Service (Dataverse) for data management and integration.
• Able to Installation and configuration of data gateways.
• Proficient in Developing of Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development.
• Be able to provide architecture configuration administration and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365.
• Be able to estimate work effort and extrapolate into project plans.

• Programming Skills: Familiarity with languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and C# for custom development.
• Integration Knowledge: Experience with integrating Power Apps with other Microsoft products such as Power BI, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint.
• User Interface Design: Skills in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces using Power Apps Studio.
• API and Connector Management: Ability to manage existing connectors and create custom APIs for seamless application functionality.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Capability to identify and resolve issues within Power Apps and AI integrations effectively.
• Security Best Practices: Knowledge of role-based access control and application security within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs.
• Ability to management cross functional multi locational teams
• Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies including knowing where they need to be tailored to a client’s environment.
• Ability to communicate with business users, discuss actual needs and be able to identify automation solutions.
• Be able to present solutions to diverse audiences, demonstrating security and certainly in proposed solutions and be able to defend them under questioning.

Certifications:

· PL400 – Power Platform Developer (Mandatory)

· PL600 – Power Platform Solution Architect (preferred)
