About the role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will make an impact by leading large-scale quality engineering initiatives and driving automation strategies across mobile and web platforms. You will be a valued member of the Engineering & Quality Assurance team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
In this role, you will:
Lead quality engineering efforts for complex software projects, ensuring robust testing coverage and automation.
Design and implement automated test frameworks for mobile applications, web platforms, and backend services.
Collaborate with development and product teams to define quality standards and integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
Apply deep knowledge of QA methodologies and tools to optimize testing processes and improve efficiency.
Communicate effectively across teams, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Seattle, WA.

What you need to have to be considered:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software quality engineering.
• Proven track record of leading automation initiatives and large-scale QA projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with additional languages such as Java, Swift, or C++ is a plus.
• Experience testing mobile applications and backend services.
• Strong understanding of QA automation architecture, methodologies, and tools.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477– $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
