Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of customized Salesforce solutions. This role involves building scalable applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce, while integrating Salesforce with external systems to support key business functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering seamless user experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, drive innovation, and ensure platform reliability.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a Cognizant office in Plano or Irving, TX. Key Responsibilities

· Designing and building Salesforce applications. Developing scalable, secure, and customized solutions using tools such as Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components to meet business requirements.

· Customizing Salesforce workflows. Creating and configuring custom objects, automation tools, and workflows tailored to streamline organizational processes.

· Write test classes for code coverage

· Integrating Salesforce with external systems. Designing and developing APIs and web services to ensure seamless communication between Salesforce and other applications.

· Troubleshooting and debugging issues. Diagnosing, resolving, and documenting technical problems to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.

· Collaborating with stakeholders. Partnering with project managers, business analysts, and other team members to deliver on project objectives and timelines.

· Enhancing user experience. Using tools like Salesforce Lightning to improve the user interface and ensure ease of use for end-users.

· Optimizing data workflows. Implementing efficient data modelling, data processing pipelines, and reporting mechanisms for streamlined data management.

· Developing dashboards and analytics tools. Building insightful dashboards to track key metrics and inform decision-making processes.

· Staying current with Salesforce technologies. Continuously learn and adopt new features, tools, and Salesforce solutions to deliver innovative, cutting-edge services.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of Salesforce development experience.

· Strong hands-on experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.

· Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Apex.

· Solid understanding of Salesforce configuration and customization.

· Experience with Salesforce integrations and data migration.

· Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II is a plus).

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
