Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 2 years of experience with developing automated internal frameworks, increasing developer and release velocity, code health, and building developer tools in full-stack software engineering.
- Experience in one of the following programming: Python, Rust, or C++.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- Understanding of SDKs, various popular Wireless technologies.
- Experience with A/B testing.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and monitor comprehensive test and deployment frameworks to improve the quality of the Fuchsia Platform.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to build the Fuchsia Connectivity Test Strategy. Implement testing frameworks and infrastructure with a focus on high reliability, quality, and scalability.
- Work closely with Engineering Productivity, Technical Program Manager and Engineering teams to deliver the system. This includes building infrastructure for different test phases, from validity to stress testing, and owning the delivery of solutions for technical problems.
- Lead on cross-functional projects aimed at improving the release velocity of the Fuchsia Platform.
- Push for testing to be integrated earlier in the development life-cycle to build a proactive test culture.
