Join Caterpillar Global Paving Products as a Senior Supply Chain Manager leading all supply chain functions for our Minneapolis facility. You’ll set the strategic vision for a best-in-class supply chain, drive process excellence, and lead cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Purchasing, and Product teams to deliver optimal build plans. As part of the senior facility staff, you’ll manage inventory as a high-impact asset, balance Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) trade-offs, and ensure supply chain processes add maximum value from both customer and supplier perspectives.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

  • Lead all facility supply chain activities: planning, material requirements, inventory, logistics, and performance.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to execute optimal build plans and support PQVC (People/Quality/Velocity/Cost) initiatives.
  • Manage inventory within compliance and optimize TCO across transportation, packaging, storage, and delivery.
  • Oversee Sales & Operations Planning and ensure robust linkage between planning and execution.
  • Partner with purchasing and product teams to align strategies with global sourcing.
  • Lead Lean deployment, supply chain performance improvements, and 3PL relationships.
  • Develop and mentor your team, ensuring capability building and succession planning.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field.
  • Supply Chain Mastery: Deep expertise in supply chain or related areas (inventory management, purchasing, parts distribution, logistics).
  • Leadership, Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Proven ability to lead with humility, communicate effectively up and down the organization, and bring cross-functional teams together. Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound, data-driven decisions.
  • Forecasting Expertise: Deep experience in demand planning and forecasting to ensure optimal build plans and material availability.
  • Supplier Management: Skilled in developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure assurance of supply and performance improvement.
  • Inventory & Logistics Management: Extensive expertise in inventory control, logistics optimization, and understanding TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) trade-offs.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Professional Certification: APICS CPIM or CSCP National Certification demonstrating advanced knowledge in supply chain and operations management.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and drive fact-based decisions that improve supply chain performance.
  • Manufacturing Requirements Planning: Expertise in MRP processes to ensure accurate material availability and efficient production scheduling.

  • Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
