As a Senior Test Automation Engineer – Healthcare Domain, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of healthcare applications, particularly in claims and enrollment systems. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering & Assurance team and work collaboratively with Agile development teams, DevOps engineers, and product owners.
· Lead test planning, preparation, and execution activities for healthcare applications.
· Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
· Execute functional, regression, and integration tests across web and API layers.
· Write and optimize SQL queries for backend testing and data validation.
· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
· Ensure test code follows Git flow practices and is version-controlled alongside application code.
· Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
· Mentor test team members and coordinate test efforts across multiple projects.

· 7–10 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
· Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
· 2+ years of experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
· Proven experience in the healthcare domain, specifically in claims and enrollment systems.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
· Experience with Git version control and understanding of Git flow.
· Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools related to test automation.
· Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience mentoring junior testers and leading test efforts across multiple projects.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional Agile teams.
· Strong understanding of backend testing and data validation strategies.
· Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks and best practices.
· Passion for quality and continuous improvement in software delivery.

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
