Job Summary:

Caterpillar’s High Performance Molded Products Plant produces over 600 unique molded components used across nearly every machine we build. We are seeking a Site Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee maintenance operations for our facilities and infrastructure in a dynamic hardware manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, a proactive mindset, and a passion for operational excellence in manufacturing environments.

What You Will Do:

Maintenance Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities across plant facilities and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Solving & Decision Support

  • Identify and document issues, analyze stakeholder perspectives, and develop resolution strategies.
  • Evaluate risks and benefits of alternative solutions using diagnostic tools and fact-finding techniques.

CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Maintain and utilize CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and reporting anomalies.
  • Ensure database integrity and interface alignment with other systems.

Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

  • Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and part replacements.
  • Support machine setup and testing per manufacturer specifications.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Manufacturing Standards & Procedures

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing procedures.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement and ensure compliance with standards.

Facilities Management

  • Monitor building systems, safety protocols, and environmental conditions.
  • Manage space planning and coordinate with vendors to resolve facility-related issues.
  • Support building security and regulatory compliance efforts.

Performance & Effectiveness Measurement

  • Track and report maintenance metrics against benchmarks.
  • Set short- and long-term improvement goals and develop action plans under guidance.

What skills you will have:

Plant Facilities Management: Extensive maintenance experience applied to site-level operations. Proven leadership in managing technical teams responsible for maintaining physical infrastructure. Deep understanding of methodologies for overseeing site facilities, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with safety and performance standards.

Supplier Management - MFG: Practical knowledge of managing supplier relationships for maintenance-related materials and components. Ability to apply procurement strategies and vendor coordination to ensure timely delivery and quality of parts essential for site operations.

Budgeting: Familiarity with site-level budgeting processes, including planning and administering maintenance budgets. Experience in capital project management for equipment upgrades and installations, with hands-on troubleshooting of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Effectiveness Measurement: Skilled in applying measurement techniques to assess maintenance team performance and equipment reliability. Uses data-driven insights to improve work quality and optimize resource allocation.

Problem Solving: Applies structured problem-solving approaches to resolve site-level operational issues. Experienced in diagnosing and correcting faults in electrical, mechanical, and logistics systems used in industrial environments.

Manufacturing Application Systems (CMMS): Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and manage asset lifecycles. Ensures systems are updated and aligned with site maintenance goals.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Applies organizational standards to guide and monitor maintenance activities. Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational policies during all phases of site maintenance.


Additional Information:

This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at Boonville, MO the office.

Domestic relocation assistance is NOT available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
