About the role:
Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Smart Factory COE & Lean Manager who will be responsible for guiding a cross functional, global team to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions across Reman facilities.

This role will lead through a unified strategy to accelerate digitalization, visualization, automation and Lean while delivering rapid replication of best practices through cross-facility synergies.

Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:

  • Focused on accelerating the deployment and transformation of Smart Factory solutions across our Reman facilities.
  • Focused on accelerating lean initiatives within Reman, expanding upon our culture of continuous improvement.
  • Managing the planning, documentation, implementation, support and maintenance of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery and tooling to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and safety.
  • Researching process performance data to identify and implement process changes that improve yield, runtime, quality, safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Managing the activities and resources for manufacturing engineers, process design and support personnel.
  • Providing on-going support for manufacturing problems and deficiencies; troubleshoots technically challenging production problems.

  • Organizational Leadership: Working knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
  • Influencing Through Expertise: Working knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Project Management: Extensive knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Extensive knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Expert level knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience in Factory Operations

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
